Jennifer Garner is a West Virginia native, born in Houston on the 17th of April, 1972. William John Garner served as an engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at the local college. His father worked as a chemical engineer, which is why she wanted to be similar to him. But because she wanted to follow her dream of becoming an actress, she moved to New York to try her chance in the movie industry. Garner became an ambassador of Save the Children U.S.A. in 2009. The role includes promotion of national literacy and nutrition, as well as early education and various other aspects. Garner has been on this board of trustees since 2014. Garner promotes early childhood learning. She is an ambassador and regularly meets with families who are part of the group's Early Steps to School Success program. The program guides parents on ways to support young children to learn.
